Oil and gas coating solutions are the surface treatments and corrosion-resistant equipment that protect valves, pumps, pipes and vessels from sand, sour gas and corrosive fluids. From Pune, Ultraweld Coat supplies HVOF tungsten carbide coating, weld overlay cladding, metal seated valves and injection skids to the industry and to its equipment makers.
For many years, the oil and gas sector has been regarded as the backbone of the world economy. This market's slight volatility has shown to have a big impact on other industrial sectors. The three primary segments of the oil and gas industry are known as upstream, midstream, and downstream. Companies involved in exploration and production that locate reservoirs and drill oil and gas wells are considered upstream. Transporting goods from wells to refineries is under the purview of midstream businesses, while downstream businesses handle the refining and final product sales.
The parts undergo severe wear, abrasion, corrosion, and erosion along the whole supply chain due to a number of rudimentary procedures. As a result, thermal spray technology has unintentionally been adopted to improve the performance and lifespan of crucial components while lowering associated costs and downtime.
Exploration, reservoir drilling, and oil & gas well production. Wear-resistant HVOF-coated components protect drill bits, valves, and downhole tools from abrasion and corrosion.
Pipelines, compressors, and transfer equipment protected against corrosion and erosive wear. Thermal spray coatings extend the life of compressor rotors, sleeves, and valve components.
Refinery components coated to resist chemical attack, high temperatures, and erosive media flow. Our coatings protect pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels in aggressive environments.
HVOF, PTAW & specialty coatings extend component life by 5–8× over uncoated parts. Robotically controlled deposition ensures uniform thickness and superior adhesion across all critical surfaces.

| Pump sleeves, plungers and wear rings | Abrasion and corrosion together | Pump and valve coating |
| Valve bodies, pipe and fittings | Corrosion of wetted surfaces | Weld overlay cladding in Inconel 625 and other alloys |
| Pipelines and process streams | Internal corrosion and scale | Chemical injection skids |
| Corrosion monitoring points | Need access without shutdown | High pressure access fittings |
| Separation and heat transfer duties | Pressure and corrosive contents | Pressure vessels and heat exchangers |
Fluids containing hydrogen sulfide can crack hard or highly stressed steel, so sour service places limits on materials and hardness. Corrosion-resistant overlays and carefully selected coatings let carbon steel equipment work in these conditions. Tell us the specification your project applies and we will work to it.
Much of our oil and gas work comes through the manufacturers who supply the industry. Pump and valve makers in India send us balls, seats, gates, sleeves and plungers for HVOF coating, grinding and lapping, and receive finished components ready for assembly.
Valve balls, seats and gates, pump plungers, sleeves and wear rings, progressive cavity pump rotors and other parts exposed to sand and corrosive fluids are HVOF coated. Tungsten carbide is the usual coating; chromium carbide is used where the part runs hot.
Sand and other solids in produced fluids scratch and erode a valve’s sealing surfaces, and the valve begins to leak. A tungsten carbide coating is hard enough to resist that damage, and when the ball and seats are lapped together the metal-to-metal seal stays tight for far longer.
Weld overlay cladding puts a layer of corrosion-resistant alloy, most often Inconel 625, on the wetted surfaces of carbon steel valves, pipes, fittings and vessels. It lets them handle sour and chloride-bearing fluids at a fraction of the cost of solid alloy equipment.
Tungsten carbide and chromium carbide coatings are widely used on valve trim in sour service. Suitability depends on the coating grade, the base material and the specification that governs the project, such as NACE MR0175, so share that specification with your enquiry.
